Mud Season Photography

Mud season is a transition period which takes up most of the spring in Vermont. It can be a rough part of the year to get through. It’s not exactly bright and the soupy wetness can make a walk anything but uplifting. After capturing these photographs I decided that next year I will embrace the mud, for the liquid ground can be quite fascinating. These photographs were captured on our car which was driven hundreds of times down country roads without a single wash during mud season. The surface of the car acted as a canvas for the wind, mud and water.
